Damn I should have said that! That’s a good one - it encompasses everything.

Woo euphemisms!
I’m working on the application for funding (well, one of them) to bring Tobi Hill-Meyer to campus in April.
But I have to make her sound, well, not like a pornographer so as to minimize the chance that the committee members will be too offended or whatever to give us money.
So I put “filmmaker” as one of her descriptors. I mean, it’s not inaccurate :-P

Those things are the fucking worst (I mean that in the best way). They combine both of my addictions and leave you hyper for ages.
I know, right? I made the mistake of thinking they weren’t working so I ate a ton… yeah. :-P

Where did you find them?!?! I love chocolate covered coffee beans, but I’m the same way, do not want dark chocolate. But I can’t find milk anywhere.
I don’t know of anywhere in Boston - I had to get them while I was in NYC. Kind of ridiculous.

Dark chocolate, or milk?
Milk. Dark is way too bitter for me. I’m basically a little kid - I like everything sweet.
Chocolate-covered coffee beans will be my downfall
But they’re so good. And energy.

Thanks Devyn :-). I don’t know what’s going on with my head (it’s been a while since one of these things - maybe 6ish months?) but I’m feeling more hopeful/competent!

Congratulations on your acceptance! That’s wonderful! I hope you start to feel better soon. Depression is an asshole.
Thanks! Congrats on your job offer :-D.

But I’m glad there’s something we can all agree on and mobilize around: our mutual distaste for terms like transethnic, transabled, and transfat.

I love the implication that trans people aren’t really the gender they identify as, they just ~*~perceive~*~ themselves to be. As an honest-to-god fatty and a trans woman, can we give this a collective “FFFFFFFFFFUCK YOU”?

I don’t think that you’re OMG A HUGE RACIST if you’re not down with corporal punishment or that ALL PEOPLE OF COLOR HIT THEIR KIDS (I am living evidence of this not being the case).
